About Lily

With more than twenty years of professional practice in the healing arts, Lily Kandaris combines deep expertise, intuitive insight, and compassionate presence in every session. Her path to bodywork began as a professional dancer in New York City, where years of movement and yoga study gave her an intimate understanding of anatomy and the body's dynamic nature. This foundation naturally led her to massage therapy. Trained in both Eastern and Western modalities, Lily draws from a rich toolbox of techniques—ranging from Swedish massage and trigger-point therapy to acupressure, Reiki, and craniosacral and Manual Lymphatic Drainage. Continuous education keeps her at the forefront of advanced bodywork approaches.

Having navigated her own hormonal transitions, Lily offers an empathetic perspective for peri- and post-menopausal clients, honoring both the physical changes and the accompanying emotional and spiritual dimensions. She describes her practice as "both an art and a science," listening not only to what clients say but also to the subtle cues their bodies provide—tissue responses, energetic patterns, and micro-movements—so she can adapt each technique to serve the highest good in the moment.

Lily maintains active memberships in professional organizations such as the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP) and the American Craniosacral Therapy Association, regularly participating in advanced training to expand her skill set. Outside the treatment room, she enjoys hiking, gardening, meditation, and family time, activities that nurture her own well-being and infuse her practice with renewed energy.

Lily and her husband recently relocated to Richmond from Phoenix, AZ.
