Your initial appointment begins with a comprehensive intake process where we discuss your health history, current concerns, and wellness goals. This consultation allows Lily to create a customized treatment plan aligned with your needs. You'll then receive a full-length session with time afterward to discuss your experience and plan follow-up care.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to complete paperwork, or download forms from our website to complete in advance. -
Therapeutic bodywork may include moments of "productive discomfort" when addressing chronic tension or trigger points, but it should never involve sharp or overwhelming pain. We work within your comfort tolerance, using a 1-10 scale to ensure pressure is therapeutic without being excessive.
Our approach emphasizes that more pressure isn't always better. Effective change can occur with moderate pressure when applied with proper technique. Communication is encouraged throughout your session. -
Arrive well-hydrated but avoid eating a heavy meal within an hour of your appointment. Wear comfortable clothing that's easy to remove. You'll undress to your comfort level and be professionally draped throughout the session, with only the area being worked on exposed. After treatment, try to allow some integration time rather than rushing to your next activity. Drinking plenty of water afterward helps flush metabolic waste released during bodywork.

Absolutely. Gentle techniques like lymphatic drainage, craniosacral therapy, and light touch work can actually be more effective than deep pressure for certain conditions, particularly when addressing fascial restrictions and chronic pain.
The fascia—the connective tissue network throughout your body—responds exceptionally well to gentle, sustained pressure rather than forceful manipulation. These lighter modalities work with your body's natural healing mechanisms, encouraging the nervous system to relax and release tension patterns from within.
Many clients are surprised to discover that less pressure often leads to more profound and lasting results, as gentle work allows the body to soften and reorganize without triggering protective guarding or inflammation that can occur with aggressive techniques. -
We don't offer online booking because every session is fully customized to your specific needs and goals. Before your first appointment, we have a brief consultation to ensure we're the right fit for each other. This helps me understand your health history, any specific concerns, and what you're hoping to achieve through bodywork. Following appointments can be made through text requests and Lily will provide you with options for dates and times.
This personalized approach benefits both of us: you'll know exactly what to expect and feel confident that the treatment plan is tailored specifically for you.
